بانوي نويسنده ي ايراني ي مقيم آمريكا و كارهايش، پيش از اين درهمين تارنما سخن گفته ام. اين بانو، يكي از مطرح ترين نويسندگان كنوني ي ايراني در آمريكا به شمار مي آيد و كارهايش مورد ستايش نويسندگان و ناقدان نامداري همچون وي. س. نايپول (نويسنده ي هندي تبار مقيم ترينيداد) و اَن تِيلر (رمان نويس مشهور آمريكايي و همسر بيوه ي زنده ياد دكتر تقي مدرّسي، نويسنده ي مشهور) قرارگرفته است.

When Rachlin was an infant, her mother gave her to Maryam, Rachlin's barren and widowed aunt. For the next nine years, the little girl lived a blissful Iranian childhood. Then one day, Rachlin's father kidnapped his daughter from her schoolyard, and from the only mother she'd ever known, and returned her to her birth family-strangers to the young girl.
